Skincare Ingredients
It's truly amazing what a little daily regimen can do for your skin. I see people, who are not even middle-aged, but look like they're rapidly approaching 50. Now, I seriously doubt anyone wants to look older than they truly are. Well, at least if they're past the legal drinking age they don't. The scales tend to flip at that point.
Suddenly looking 25 at age 35 is quite desirable. Fortunately you do have some say in the aging process. Along with the right diet, you can develop a personal skin care regime to keep your complexion looking grand and vibrant. It's really not difficult and you don't have to be rich to do it. The main concern at-hand is skincare ingredients. What works for you?
Since we all have different skin types, our faces and bodies require varying skincare ingredients. Don't glance at a skin care line and assume it's outstanding because of the brand name, or some hyped ad you saw on TV. Check out the ingredients on the bottle. Different skincare ingredients have different effects on your skin.
Take menthol and tea tree oil for example. These ingredients are commonly used to battle oil and acne. They may be a bit harsh for some, but others will appreciate their invigorating results. Salicylic acid in another common acne fighter. Then you have an array of moisturizers. If you're wondering what skincare ingredients are locking moisture in your skin and healing the dryness, look for glycerins, aloe, and allantoin.
But probably the most common ingredients you'll find in today's anti-aging products are alpha hydroxy acids. These work as exfoliants. They refresh your skin by sloughing away the dead surface cells and revealing what's underneath. What are alpha hydroxy acids? Merely acids from fruit such as oranges or lemons. It may sound funny, but it's all the rage now days. And it sure beats using some unnatural chemical.
Now it's all about nature. When you think skincare ingredients, think natural. Companies are all trying their best to pitch the "safe" natural products. Hey, if it is an option, you might as well take it. The closer to nature, the better. But before purchasing a skin care regime, find out what your skin needs.
