Natural Remedies for Severe Acne: Chamomile

As someone who has had severe acne during puberty, I know how embarrassing and even physically painful things can get. The whiteheads and blackheads certainly did not enhance the way I looked or the way I felt back then. I was given all sorts of stuff by my doctors, but it either didn't help or I didn't want to use it after reading the label. Fortunately, I stumbled onto one of Mother's Nature's natural remedies for severe acne, and after persistent daily usage, I was free of my bothersome problem!

Chamomile

Chamomile is one of the very best natural acne remedies out there, and certainly the best I've tried (because it's the last one I had to try). The plant's common names are German chamomile, wild chamomile, true chamomile, and scented mayweed. It grows on clay soils, arable land, hillsides, in glades, in clover fields, in potato fields, in corn fields, and in wheat fields. Because of the increased use of chemical fertilizers and herbicides in our world today, chamomile is eradicated more and more everyday.

The hollow receptacle at the base of the blossom distinguishes it from Roman Chamomile, which should not be used for this natural remedy for severe acne. The scent is aromatic and quite pleasant. A closer description of this well-known plant is surely not needed, as you probably already know exactly what I am describing. If in fact you live somewhere where it is possible for you to gather fresh, organic (free of herbicides) chamomile, that would be best. Gather only the flower-heads, from May to August, preferably in the bright noon Sun. If you can only buy dried chamomile flowers in an herbal store, this is fine too. However, be sure that they are certified organic.

Directions for Usage

Chamomile is not only one of the most effective natural remedies for severe acne, but it is also one of the easiest to prepare. Chamomile is actually utilized as a two-pronged natural remedy for severe acne. A body-wash and a tea are prepared before nighttime. Both will start healing your acne, while promoting wonderfully refreshing sleep.

Whether using fresh or dried flowers, use about 25 milligrams for the body-wash. Prepare the body-wash in the following manner: Put the flowers into a 14-fluid-ounce vessel. Then, fill the vessel with boiling water. Once the mixture cools to about room temperature, strain it of the flowers and leaves. Then, after showering, proceed to wash all body parts that are inflicted with the acne.

While the chamomile mixture is cooling, prepare the other part of your natural remedy for severe acne: the chamomile tea. It is easily prepared in the following manner: Whether you are using fresh or dried flowers, take about 10 milligrams and throw them in a cup. Next, fill the cup with boiling water from your teapot. Strain the liquid right before you go into the shower and drink it as soon as you exit.

Using the two-pronged natural remedy for severe acne I've outlined above, you should begin to see effects in just a few weeks. Continue this process everyday (or as often as possible) until the acne disappears. Then, when you are through with painful and embarrassing pimples, raise a cup of chamomile tea to Mother Nature for providing us with such a wonderful plant!

Natural Remedies for Adult Acne Unveiled

Acne, with its embarrassing pimply eruptions, plagues many young people during puberty. However, the problem is a little more serious when it lasts into the adult years. Below, we'll be delving into a few natural remedies for adult acne that should eliminate it. These brews are natural remedies for severe acne as well as minor cases of acne.

Stinging Nettle and Dandelion

It is thought that the kidneys and liver are responsible for acne in adults. This is so, because these organs are the chief filters and detoxifiers of our bodies. When they become weak, for whatever reason, one of the manifestations is acne. This is where the herbs stinging nettle and dandelion become irreplaceable natural remedies for adult acne.

Stinging nettle is also sometimes called common nettle. Everything of the nettle (stems, leaves, flowers, and roots) has medicinal properties. It was highly esteemed in ancient times, but then became forgotten, as most plants, during modern times. The Swiss herbalist Abbe Kuenzle points out in his writings that the nettle would have been wiped out long ago were it not for its stings. Insects and animals would have just eaten it away, due to its medicinal properties, because even though it isn't a natural remedy for adult acne to them, it has a number of other positive aspects.

Dandelion's common names are priest's crown, blow-ball, and swine's snout. Dandelion is actually a great healing aid with which nature has provided us, even though it is looked upon as a troublesome weed in lawns. You can pick it in April and May as it flowers during these months in meadows and grasslands all over the world. The only places where you won't find these plants are the very wet places of the world. It is distinguishable by the blankets of yellow flowers that it creates where there are many blooms at once.

Directions

Both herbs should be picked fresh, and should be pesticide free. Take about 5 stems (with leaves, flowers, and roots attached to the stem) of stinging nettle, put them into a cup, and then fill the cup with boiling water. Do the same with about 10 dandelion leaves. (In this case, use only the leaves.) After about 3 minutes, strain both teas into separate cups and drink them 15 minutes apart from each other. Repeat this process twice daily with both teas.

If fresh herbs are not available to you, both of these plants can be bought at any herbal store. However, they will be dried. This is not a problem, but there will be a few differences in the preparation of the tea: take a heaped teaspoonful of each herb instead the fresh leaves or stems, and strain after 30 minutes instead of 3 minutes.

Whichever way you decide to go about it, the natural remedy for adult acne should start taking effect in a few weeks.

Natural Remedies for Back Acne and Other Acne Manifestations

Acne, the malady characterized by painful and embarrassing pimples on the face, chest, and back, can be stopped using a few proven natural concoctions. These will do away with acne in the teenage years, as well being great natural remedies for adult acne. They are soothing to the skin and should prove their worth soon after initial use. The mixtures we'll be discussing below are great natural remedies for back acne, facial acne, as well as chest acne.

Horseradish Vinegar

One of the natural remedies for back acne and other acne manifestations is prepared in the following manner: Shredded fresh horseradish is put into a bottle and apple cider vinegar is poured over it until the horseradish is well-covered. (Since the mixture is used directly from the bottle without being strained, a sterilized glass bottle with a perforated lid should be utilized.) The bottle containing this combination is left standing in room temperature, preferably in the dark, for about 30 days.

This natural remedy for back acne, facial acne, and chest acne takes into account that the horseradish takes away the sharpness of the apple cider vinegar, while the apple cider vinegar takes away the hotness of the horseradish. Therefore, the result is a very mild vinegar substance easily tolerated by the skin. Horseradish vinegar should be applied to the wet face and left on for 10 minutes in the mornings and evenings. After 10 minutes has passed, wash it off with cold water.

Chamomile Wash

Another one of Mother Nature's soothing natural remedies for back acne, facial acne, and chest acne is a chamomile wash. If you find that you still cannot tolerate the horseradish vinegar (even though if all directions are followed to the letter it should be quite mild), then try the chamomile wash. Chamomile's antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties should do the job just as well.

Fresh or dried chamomile can be used here, and I strongly recommend whether it be for children or as a natural remedy for adult acne. Preparation: If using fresh plants (not dried), use about 5 flowers and 10 leaves. If using dried chamomile, take a heaped tablespoonful of dried chamomile flowers and leaves. Either way, put the plant parts into a 12-fluid-ounce vessel. Then, fill the vessel with boiling water. Once the mixture cools to about room temperature, strain it of the flowers and leaves. Then, proceed to wash your back, face, and chest with it. Repeat this process daily until your symptoms disappear.

Natural Remedies to Cure Acne: Walnut Bath

Those who have or have had acne know how embarrassing and uncomfortable the troublesome skin disorder can become. However, rest assured that there are some surefire natural remedies to cure acne. One of these is the walnut bath, and it is sure to alleviate the symptoms of acne on your whole body.

What to Do

The walnut, a large tree, flowers in early spring, before the leaves appear. The leaves of the tree are gathered in June for medicinal purposes. Dried walnut leaves are precisely what we will need for this natural remedy to cure acne. You will find these leaves sold at most local herbal stores. You will also likely be able to procure them online if you cannot find them locally. Either way, try to find leaves that are certified organic.

Locate a container (heat-resistant glass or stainless steel is best) that will hold about two gallons of water. Take 100 grams of the walnut leaves and cut them each in half, throwing them into the container. Then, fill the container with cold water and leave it soaking overnight.

The following morning, as you are filling your bath, heat the container (with the leaves still inside), until the liquid almost boils. As soon as you place the container on the stove, take a heaped teaspoonful of another batch of again freshly cut leaves, throw them in a cup, and fill the cup with boiling water from your teapot. When the two-gallon container on the stove is almost at its boiling point, turn off the gas and strain the mixture into your bathwater. Next, strain the liquid in your cup.

Now, get into the bath, being sure to keep your chest (especially the heart) above the bathwater. While soaking for exactly 20 minutes, sip the walnut leaf tea. Once the 20 minutes are up, get a towel and wrap yourself in it (do not wipe yourself off). Then, go to bed and cover yourself in a warm blanket, so that you feel that you are perspiring. Lie in bed in this manner for about one hour. Repeat this process weekly until your acne disappears.

The walnut bath is a wonderful natural cure for acne, and it is an especially potent natural remedy for back acne. After the bath, you will feel refreshed and restored. You will feel especially wonderful, because you will realize that this natural cure for acne is nursing your skin back to a perfectly healthy state!

Readily Available Natural Home Remedy for Acne: Dandelion

Acne inflicts millions of people around the world everyday. Most commonly, the pimples characterizing the condition show up on the face and chest, making one uncomfortable and embarrassed. Getting rid of acne is not an easy task, usually costly, and potentially hazardous to one's health if using the more widely accepted methods in medicine today. On the other hand, natural home remedies for acne can be easily prepared and will help most who try them. Dandelion is one of these types of treatments.

Dandelion's Properties Explained

Dandelion is a simple and easily obtainable plant for a natural home remedy for acne. The plant's common names are priest's crown, blow-ball, and swine's snout. Looked upon as a troublesome weed in lawns, dandelion is actually a great healing aid with which nature has provided us. You can pick it in April and May as it flowers during these months in meadows and grasslands all over the world, only shunning wet places. You can distinguish it by the blankets of yellow flowers that it forms, which turn many a place into a beautiful sight.

Dandelion purifies the blood, detoxifying the system, which is why it is one of the more commonly used natural remedies to cure acne in Europe. After picking the dandelions, you should eat only the leaves and the root, but not the flower or its stem. The leaves are a bit bitter, but knowing their potential, you should just grin and bear it. However, if you absolutely cannot handle the bitterness of the plant, there are dandelion root capsules manufactured by a multitude of companies that are readily available in health food stores. Just be sure to check if the capsules contain organic dandelion. If not, move on to your next option until you find a brand that utilizes certified organic ingredients.

Directions

Try to eat a large handful of dandelion leaves daily, or about 5,000 mg if you're going via the capsule route, for about six weeks. While you're on this natural home remedy for acne, try to decrease your intake of fatty foods. Also, do your best to do the same after the six-week regimen has passed. Foods containing fat can overtax the liver, which in turn will not be able to detoxify the liver and the body. After the dandelion cleanses your liver, and therefore your system, of toxins, the liver should be ready to neutralize most future toxins in your body. This treatment should be repeated every six months, and may be done in conjunction with other topical natural home remedies for acne.

Natural Acne Remedies: Why use them?

Acne occurs in about 85% of teenagers/adolescents. It occurs in other age groups as well, but teenagers exhibit the majority of cases. Acne is a skin disorder usually caused by blocked skin pores. Natural home remedies for acne are one great way to combat this uncomfortable malady, because it is a rather effective and cheap method.

More Details

Acne can be found on virtually any part of our body, except for the bottoms of our feet and the palms of our hands, because we do not have oil glands or hair follicles in these places on our body. Acne lesions are formed in the dermis layer of the skin (middle layer), by pilosebaceous units, which are in turn caused by microscopic sebaceous glands (located in the skin), which secrete oil matter, or sebum, for the purpose of lubricating skin and hair. The reason most acne legions appear on the face is because there are more sebaceous there than on any other place of our bodies. The results of acne are legions of whiteheads or blackheads, which can get pretty painful and become uncomfortable with regards to your appearance.

Stopping Acne

There is a multitude of remedies out there dealing with stopping acne. Some methods are effective and some are not so effective. Some methods are quite expensive. If you visit your doctor, you will surely get a prescription for a cream or ointment or two, which may or may not get rid of the problem. The ingredients in these prescriptions contain nothing that's good for you. They are completely man-made (you won't find one natural ingredient in them), and while they may help your acne, there is a good chance they will also do some long-term damage to your skin that will become evident some years later.

There are also quite a few types of skin treatments out there that you may or may not have seen advertised on TV, on the Radio, in magazines, in newspapers, on the Internet, or though other types of media. These also are pretty bad for your skin, although they are usually effective against acne. They also usually get quite expensive.

There are also natural acne remedies. Natural acne remedies that don't work for some may work for others, so if you decide to try this avenue don't give up if the initial natural acne remedy you try doesn't work. While it's not the easiest task in the world to find a natural acne remedy that works, with rare exceptions, you can rest easy knowing that you won't be hurting your body (inside or outside) if you use one.

There are a lot of other things that you can try as well if you are finding that a homeopathic remedy for acne is just not enough. Talking to a dermatologist is the smartest thing to do so that you can get an expert opinion.
